Northern Delaware took on host Miffin County at Armagh Memorial Field on Thursday Night

Logan Ruth looked strong on the mound tossing three Innings striking out two, walking one batter without giving up a Run in the 12-2 victory over Delaware.

Delaware was kept off the score board until the fourth inning as it managed to get two runs to come across.

From defensive miscues that would end the scoreless game, Mifflin County refused to give up a hit in the inning but sloppy play allowing Delaware to gain momentum. Delaware was kept off the board for the remainder of the game.

Mifflin County’s bats carried them.

Jayden Smith had an an eye for the baseball tonight collecting two doubles and a single.

Smith could not be stopped.

Fellow teammates Landon Raigh collected a double, Madden Weaver had a good night on the defensive side with the hot glove at first. Weaver walked twice while Roping a double in the second inning, Reese Christine singled in the fourth inning as he was part of the five run fourth inning which helped seal the deal to get the victory on opening night of the All Star-Tournament.

The Delaware Offense just wasn’t there tonight. As a team Delaware ended the night with just two hits off of Mifflin County.

Zach Tolvaisa and Chandler Smith were the only players with a hit tonight.

The Rest of the line up was held in check.

Mifflin County out hit Delaware 11-2. Austin McKnight closed the door For the save, sending a batter down swinging.

McKnight walked Brody Malascalza.

Delaware would have one more chance but Owen Manchri would go down on strikes to end the game.  Mifflin County wins on opening night MC is now 7-4 against Delaware In the Tournament.
