Midd-West holds off Juniata boys in boys’ basketball action

MIDDLEBURG – The Juniata boys basketball team took to the road Tuesday to do battle in a non-conference match up against Midd-West.
Midd-West had the hot hand in the contest as it defeated the Indians 48-33.
Juniata was led by Caleb Smith who finished with 10 points.
Following up Smith in the scoring department was Wyatt Stoner with seven.
The Mustangs opened the first half outscoring Juniata 10-4.
In the second, Juniata was just two points short of tying Midd-West in second quarter scoring, 9-7.
Going into the intermission, Juniata trailed 19-11.
In the second, the Mustangs outscored the Indians 29-22 to hold on for the victory
