“We ended our season with a multitude of individual season best performances,” said Mifflin County coach Tamara Sechler.

Mifflin County Freshman Camryn Treaster was able to bring his 400m time down to 57.04.

Senior Dallas Ivie ran her best time in the 800m in 3:00.96. Those two athletes were joined by twelve other season best times on the track and distances on the field for the Huskies at the meet.

“As a track coach, we look for our athletes to continue to improve,” said Sechler. “We are quite pleased with their results. It is especially encouraging to know that so many of our athletes will have a good base as we go into our spring competition season.”

There were two standout performances for the team this evening. Danielle Warfel ran a low time of 1:04.10 in the 400m, taking second in the meet. This time also places her second on the overall indoor team records list. Carter Smith followed this achievement with a record-setting time of 1:55.23 in the 800m run. In doing so, he broke the 12-year oldschool record previously held by Zach Moon and established the first year of Mifflin County High School. This race solidifies his qualification for the Indoor PTFCA State Championship Meet to be held at Penn State University on February 25, 2024.
