Mifflin County boys fall in tough Thursday contest
On Thursday the MIfflin County boys soccer team battled Mechanicsburg.
The Huskies fell 3-1.
“We had a 2-0 halftime deficit after playing decent in the first half,” said MIfflin County coach Todd Peters. “We came out and got a goal back from an Ethan Plank long ball assist for a Joel Beamer finish to make it 2-1, 8:30 into the second half. Mechanicsburg came back to answer to make it 3-1 shortly after.”
Mechanicsburg led in shots on goal 17-7 and in corners, 5-4.
Mifflin County goalie Jack Suydam finished with 14 saves.
In JV action, the Huskies fell 1-0.
