Mifflin County Girls XC team tops Juniata and Susquenita

The Mifflin County girls cross country team took two wins tonight against Juniata (25-30) and Susquenita (15-50). Susquenita did not have a full team but I knew that Juniata would require some extra effort from our 3-5 girls on the team.

“Kylee and Addie ran smoothly to take the 1 and 2 positions but you can’t win races on those positions alone,” said Mifflin County coach Neil Breneman. “Sarah and Ava really stepped up securing the win in their positioning. Sarah ran her season best and Ava notched another PR in her first year of running. Addie looked really strong tonight and is positioned to be well prepared for what lies ahead at Districts next week. Kylee is strong and ready as well and is particularly focusing on States. For Madi, as a senior, this marked her final regular season meet of her high school career.”
“I am super proud of her dedication to continue working hard and complete the races,” said Breneman. “Our team will miss her smile when next season rolls around!”
The team also sported “MCXC Stronger Than Cancer” shirts tonight in support of those fighting cancer. Special thanks to Cubbison Ink for equipping them with the apparel!
The next high school meet will be the District 6 championship next Saturday, October 30.
