Mifflin County’s XC ends regular season with close win over Juniata

MC boys’ cross country ended their dual meet season with a sweep of visiting Juniata (28-31) and Susquenita (21-40) Thursday afternoon in Reedsville.  Juniata and Susquenita took the top two spots with the Huskies Chris Royer finishing third. Juniata took 4th and 5th but MC finished 7 of the next 8 places securing both  wins  for the Huskies.

Caden Bell 6th, (18:12), Ben Hartzler 7th (18:14), CJ Coffey 8th (18:41), Cody Fultz 10th (19:07).  

“ Max Laudermilch 11th (18:20) and Luke Breneman 12th (19:23)  have been running well for us all season.  Juniata beat us up front but Max and Luke came through for us today.  They finished ahead of Juniata’s 4 and 5th runners,  adding extra points to their score. Our depth made the difference today,” said Mifflin County coach Greg Loht. “It was a great day for a cross country race. We always  enjoy racing against Juniata and Susquenita. We wanted  a good tune up race to Prepare for next Saturday’sdistrict championship.
