Mifflin County matmen capture title at Ultimate Warrior Tournament

The MIfflin County wrestling team added another chapter of excellence to its already historical year.

Over the weekend, the Huskies traveled to compete in the Ultimate Warrior Tournament.

Not only did the “Purple and Black Attack” have a strong showing bug it also captured the team title.

Mifflin County won the team title with 215.5 while it’s second place finisher Clearfield finished with 192.0.

Rounding things out in third place was Central Mountain with only 149.5.

Leading the team capturing the first place titles were 113-pounder Nic Allison, 160-pounder Kyler Everly, Trey Shoemaker at 189 and 215 pounder Anson Wagner.

Mifflin County notched two third place finishes. They were Hunter Johnson (120) and Parker Kearns (152).

The Huskies also notched two fourth round finishers.

Picking up the fourth place nod we’re Blake Aumiller (132) and Jaxson Pupo (285)

145-pounder Deakon Schaeffer rounds out the top finished with a 7th place finish.
