East Juniata girls end week with impressive win over PO

COCOLAMUS – The East Juniata girls basketball team came into Saturday’s game against visiting Philipsburg-Osceola with it A-game armed and ready to go.

A strong beginning led to the Tigers a convincing 57-15 home victory.

Cypress Feltman sizzled in the contest posting a game-high 25 points.

Sara Brackbill just missed a double-digit performance finishing with nine points.

Teammates Lexie Stuck and Marissa Coudriet both finished with eight.

In the first quarter, the Tigers jumped out to a 18-4 advantage.

Though the Tigers finished with five, the Mounties weren’t able to gain any ground as it also scored five.

Going into the intermission, East Juniata held a 23-8 lead.

Coming out of the half, the Lady Tigers completely exploded in the third, outscoring Philipsburg-Osceola 23-2.

Round out the contest, East Juniata again outscored the Mounties 11-4 en route to the victory.
