Mifflin County moved to .500 with road win over CD

Chalk up another win for the MIfflin County baseball team as they dropped Central Dauphin Thursday 5-1 in a Mid-Penn road contest.

Ryan Kanagy, Jayden Smith and Landen Eichhorn all finished the contest with two hits each.

Smith added a pair of RBIs to lead the offensive charge for “the Purple and Black attack”.

Logan Alexander notched the win for Mifflin County. Alexander went six complete innings giving up just three hits while allowing just one run.

Mifflin County opened the game with two first inning runs.

Kanagy led things off with a double into left field.

Xavier Smith posted a double of his own allowing Kanagy to score.

Jayden Smith made it 2-0 as he singled in Xavier Smith.

The Huskies added a run in the second.

Tucker Gill led things off with a walk.

Kanagy put down a sacrifice bunt to move Gill over to second base.

Eichhorn singled in Gill to extend the Huskies lead to 3-0.

The Rams got on the board with a run in the bottom of the fourth.

But the night belonged to Mifflin County as they added two insurance runs late to take the 5-1 contest and even its record to 3-3.
