Offense Hard To Come By In Bellefonte Defeat To Indiana

Both teams were strong on the hill on Monday, but the Indiana Indians were  just a little bit stronger at the plate in their 3-0 victory over Bellefonte.

Braedyn Kormanic started the game for the Red Raiders and recorded 12 outs.

The Indians got on the board in the second inning after Charlie Manzi homered to center field, scoring two runs.

Ben Ryan earned the win for Indiana. They gave up two hits and zero runs over five and one-third innings, striking out six and walking one. Kormanic took the loss for Bellefonte. The starting pitcher went four innings, surrendering three runs on six hits, striking out three and walking none.

Ryan Fraley, Levi Purnell, and Trevor Johnson each collected one hit for the Red Raiders. Bellefonte were sure-handed and didn’t commit a single error. Oliver Thornburg made the most plays with six.

Manzi and Kadin Homer were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Indians. Manzi led Indiana with two runs batted in. They went 2-for-3 on the day. The Indians didn’t commit a single error in the field. Mark Collinger had the most chances in the field with nine.
