PO takes care of Tyrone in 10-0 5-inning contest

The offense was alive and well Tuesday for the Philipsburg-Osceola Mounties as they blasted Tyrone in a 10-0 contest.

Parker White and Nick Coudriet led the offense for the Mounties posting three hits. Coudriet was a home run short of hitting for the cycle, crunching a double and a triple to go with a single.

Jeremy Whitehead brought home three of the 10 runs for Philipsburg-Osceola on the night. Highlighting the night for Whitehead was a triple.

The Mounties totaled 13 hits in the victory.

Pitcher Colby Hahn kept the Eagles off the scoreboard and off the base paths tossing a 2-hitter. He also struck out four in the 5-inning contest.

The Mounties big inning came in the fifth as they plated four runs in the inning to take home the win. Mounties offense in the inning was led by Whitehead and Hahn, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Things were scoreless in the game until the bottom of the second. The Mounties notched two runs to take a lead they would never relinquish.

They added four runs in the fourth and fifth to put the game on ice and put them at 2-0 in the Mountain League and overall.
