Sheaffer, Juniata shows talent at Lock Haven Invitational
LOCK HAVEN, Pa.- The Juniata women’s cross country team logged their first 6K times of the year at the Lock Haven University Invite on Saturday morning.
The Eagles competed in the second race of two splits on the day. Rebecca Christophel led the way for Juniata and found a new personal best time for the 6K. She finished in 25:23.9 to finish in 52nd place from a field of 168. Her previous best was a 25:44.9 at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational at Gettysburg College last year.
Justice Sheaffer set her first 6K time for Juniata, finishing in 27:55.0 to claim 129th place. Beck Mensch rounded out the competing runners for Juniata with a time of 32:36.6 to finish in 161st.
The Juniata women’s cross country team returns to competition on Saturday, October 7th at the DeSales University Invite.
