Sienna Barnhart Drives In 4 To Lead  Lady Raiders Past Carrick

Sienna Barnhart drove in four runs on three hits to lead Bellefonte past Carrick 21-1 on Tuesday. Barnhart singled in the first scoring one, tripled in the second scoring one, hit a sacrifice fly in the third scoring one, and singled in the third scoring one.

Barnhart, Madison Ripka, and Mackenzie Ellenberger at the bottom of the Lady Raiders’s lineup combined for eight of the team’s 16 hits in their victory. They scored seven runs and drove in seven.

Bellefonte got on the board in the top of the first inning after an error scored one run, one run scored on a dropped third strike, Taylor Brown singled, scoring one run, Barnhart singled, scoring one run, Ripka singled, scoring one run, Ellenberger singled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.

The Lady Raiders added to their early lead in the top of the second inning when Barnhart tripled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, and Maria Cotter doubled, scoring two runs.

Bellefonte scored nine runs on seven hits in the top of the third inning. Jaylee Lose grounded out, scoring one run, Barnhart hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ellenberger singled, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Grace Novitsky singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Lose singled, scoring one run, and Barnhart singled, scoring one run.

Carley Clarkson earned the win for Bellefonte. The right-handed pitcher allowed three hits and one run over three innings, striking out eight and walking one. #4 took the loss for Carrick. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering 21 runs (two earned) on 16 hits, striking out three and walking two.

Bellefonte amassed 16 hits in the game. Barnhart and Ripka were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected three hits for The Lady Raiders while hitting back-to-back. Novitsky, Sadie Ripka, and Ellenberger each collected multiple hits for Bellefonte. The Lady Raiders were sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Lose had the most chances in the field with eight.
