State College boys victorious against Berwick
It was a very successful Friday night for the State College boys basketball team as they defeated Berwick 69-53.
Leading the charge for the Little Lions were Johnny Friberg and Nathan Lusk with 17 points each.
Trey Oyler rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12.
In the first quarter, the State College offense muscled out a 16-12 advantage going into the second quarter. Friberg posted seven points in the period.
Things got a little tighter in the second quarter but the Little Lions once again outscored Berwick, this time by a 18-17 advantage.
State College took a 34-29 advantage into the intermission.
Defensively, the Little Lions came out in the third and clamped down on the Bulldog offense.
It’s offense also remained sharp outscoring Berwick 16-9.
In the final stanza, State College swept the scoring as they posted a 19-15 tally en route to the victory.
