PO boys dominate Curwensville
The Philipsburg Osceola boys’ basketball team rolled Friday night over Curwensville as its offense churned out 76 points en route to the 76-34 victory.
Philipsburg Osceola (76) were led by Kyle Hahn with 12, Richardson 4 0-0 8, Ryan Whitehead posting a game-high 23 and Parker Matson with 13.Depto 2 0-0 4,
Curwensville was led by Ty Terry with 23.
Philipsburg-Osceola didn’t waste anytime putting the game out of reach, outscoring Curwensville 31-3 in the opening quarter.
However, the Golden Tide bounced back in the second period, outscoring the Mounties 19-9.
When the two teams went into the intermission, PO led 40-22.
The two tied in the third both posting 13 in the third.
Terry posted seven triples for the Gold Tide.
With the win,the Mounties improved to a record of 4-3.
In the JV contest, PO took the contest 48-35 PO
Leading the way were Frank 14, Fenton 11, Doyle 10 while Curwensville was led by Lee 13.
