BEA boys lose close battle with Clarion
Friday at the Punxsutawney Christmas Tournament, the Bald Eagle boys basketball team gave Clarion everything they could handle before falling 52-49.
The offense came out early as the two combined to score 41 total points in the first quarter alone.
Clarion outscored the Eagles’ 25-16.
The Eagles had three players in double digits, they were; Jaden Jones (16), Nick Maynard (12) and Luke Wilson (10).
In the second quarter, things started to roll for the Eagles as they took the second period, 18-11.
Going into the half, Clarion held onto a 36-34 advantage.
The Eagles took the lead in the third quarter as they outscored Clarion 13-4, taking a 47-40 going into the final stanza.
However, Clarion got hot went it mattered, outscoring Bald Eagle 12-2 in the fourth, taking the 52-49 win
BEA’s Record is 1-6 while Clarion 3-3. BEA’s next game tomorrow at 3pm consolation game.
