State College perfect in 5th Annual Lions Den Duals

STATE COLLEGE – Saturday, 5th Annual Lions’ Den Duals was held at the State College high school.

The Invitational played host to 16 teams that was broken down into four teams in four divisions.

Teams attending the meet were State college, Oxford, Shaler, Owen Roberts, Penn Manor, Danville, Shikellemy, Mifflinburg, Redland, Bedford, Bald Eagle, Altoona, Mt Lebanon, Solanco, North Allegheny

and Lampeter-Strasburg.

The future of Centre County wrestling was on hand honing their skills and particating to help their teams to victory.

State College had a strong outing to start the day defeating Danville. State College picked up a strong 59-18 victory.

In match two, the Little Lions muscled through to defeat Lampeter Strausburg 42-28.

State made it 3–for-3 with a hard fought 45-36 victory.

During the matches State College Youth Wrestling hosted a silent auction at the Lions Den Duals tomorrow. We have fantastic items up for bid! They were; a signed MMA gloves from Bo Nickal and Anthony Cassar, a signed Kyle Dake match used singlet, an autographed Kyle Dake match used compression uniform. They also had an autographed David Taylor match used singlet a signed David Taylor Bobblehead, a signed Kyle Dake NCAA coat and finally an autographed Zain Retherford World Champ poster.

It was the perfect day for State College, going a perfect 3-0.
