Sweet Perfection! Lady Eagles finish season unblemished

What a way to end the regular season.

On a sunny Saturday afternoon, the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team finished the season unblemished and with a Mountain League title securely held.

Saturday, the Lady Eagles muscled our a tough 3-1 victory over Penns Valley.

Penns Valley outshot the Eagles 10-9.

 Bald Eagle keeper Rachel Veneziano came up clutch with nine saves while the Rams Kylie Auman finished with six.

           The girls came out and scored quickly and when Penns Valley scored in the second half they didnt panic but just continued to play their game. Rachel had a fantastic second half and made some incredible saves to keep them off the scoreboard. Penns valley is a great team with a lot of talent and we knew they would give us a tough game today,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “I’m proud of the season the girls had this year and their accomplishments were a direct result of how much hard work and time they put in. We are excited for the next part of our season.”

PV places an own goal just minutes later7:35 while Emily Shiels rounded out the Bald Eagle scoring with an assist from Sarah Holler at 56:18.

The Lady Eagles finish with a 17-0-1 overall record and a 13-0-1 Mountain League record.

 In JV action, Bald Eagle defeated Penns Valley 5-1
