The Mifflin County Track and Field team opened the season at the Tim Cook Invitational in Chambersburg. “Our boys and girls teams have a lot of young and new athletes,” said coach Tamara Sechler. “This non-scoring meet gave them a chance to try out their events in a relaxed competition. Our veteran athletes use this meet as a stepping stone to achieving their season goals. Quite a few were able to set that standard and take top honors at the same time.”

Two of MIfflin County athletes, Myka Simmons and Carter Smith, were meet champions. Carter won the 1600m run and Myka  won the 200m dash. Below is a list of Mifflin County’s stand out performances at the meet.
