Lady Little Lions blank Central Mountain

Starting the week in style.

The State College softball got their week off and running defeating a very tough Central Mountain team 5-0.

With the win, the Lady Little Lions improve their record on the year to 10-3.

Gabbi Todd and teammate Addison Harpster combined for four hits of their teams five hits. Todd drove in two RBis and Harpster had one.

Picking up the win in the circle was Harpster who allowed only one hit in the win.

State College scored its first run of the day in the second inning.

Harpster blasted a round tripper to give her team the early lead.

The scoring continued in the fourth as the Little Lions’ bats were at it again.

In the fourth, Harpster reached on a Wildcat miscue. She would rest safely at second.

Courtesy runner Ruby True came in to run for the State College pitcher.

Ruby advanced on a wild pitch.

True made it a 2-0 contest scoring on a fielders choice.

State College added two more insurance runs in the sixth.

Harpster reached on a single.

Todd brought her and herself in blasting a two-run home run.
