Back on track; EJ girls back to their winning ways

The East Juniata girls soccer team bounced back in a big way after falling to Altoona. Monday the Tigers finished the night with an 8-0 win over Halifax.

The list of scorers were long and distinguished as five different players scored a goal while teammate Kiersten Fogle finished with the hat trick while Leah Sankey tallied two.

Both teams finished with eight saves each while the Tigers finished with 10 shots on goal while its defense refused to allow a goal on eight shots.

Brianna Henry posted an unassisted goal at 9:01.

Carlee Barrick got on the board almost midway through the first on an unassisted shot at 16:57.

Sankey hit her first on an unassisted goal at 28:15.

Fogle posted her team’s fourth goal on an unassisted shot at 29:21.

Amara Brubaker kept the offense churning as she was assisted by Fogle at 48:32.

Sankey was at it again at 54:10 when she blasted a pass from

Marin Varner at 54:10 to up the lead to 6-0.

Fogle was just warming up as she hit goal number two on an assist by Henry at 55:45.

Fogle finished off the scoring in the contest when she was assisted by Cadee Becker at 58:45.

East Juniata improved to 3-1 and an league record of 3-0.

Next game for East Juniata will be September 29th against Millersburg.
