Bald Eagle girls get back on track, tops PO

On Monday, the Bald Eagle Area girls soccer team got back to its winning ways topping Mountain League for Philipsburg-Osceola 2-1.

Bald Eagle dominated in the shot department tallying 22 shots while the Mounties finished with seven.

The Eagles also held the advantage in corner kicks by a 10-5 margin.

“The girls looked great tonight and created a ton of chances and opportunities. We were clicking as a unit tonight,” said Bald Eagle coach Jared Moore. “They gave the coaching staff a little anxiety toward the end of the game, but continued to put pressure on the opposition and forced a misplay for an own goal late. I was proud of the hustle tonight.”

Heather Leskovansky got the scoring started for the Lady Eagles on an unassisted goal at 23:11.

Late in the contest

The Mounties struck with a from Schenly Farrell at 64:12.

The assist came from Olivia Hutton.

BEA put its last goal on the board thanks to a Mountie own goal at 68:06.

BEA Record improves to 6-5 overall and 6-3 in the Mountain League.
