Battle of the Unbeatens: T&Js offense propelled them to victory over A tough Greater Vision team

It was the battle of the unbeatens Monday as T&Js went head to head against the tough Greater Vision team.

Playing the contest in Strodes Mills, it would be the offense of T&Js that would take center stage as they defeated Greater Vision 11-0.

With the win, T&Js took the top spot in the Mifflin County Youth League’s Major League division.

Battle of the undefeated teams featured T&J’s Screenprinting vs Greater Vision
Both teams were 6-0 entering the evening.

Top 1st, with T&J’s batting, Fletcher Wilson was hit by A pitch and later scored on 2-run homer by Logan Ruth off of Greater Vision starting pitcher Joel Beamer.

Top 1st T&J’s batting
Fletcher Wilson hit by pitch, scored on 2-run homer by Logan Ruth off of Greater Vision starting pitcher Joel Beamer

Bottom 1st with Greater Vision batting Logan Ruth shut things down right away.
Starting pitcher for T&J’s is Logan Ruth. Ruth finished with a no-hit shut out

In the top of the 2nd, T&Js got some 2-out lightning as Drew Finkenbiner walked
while Kyler Baker also walked.
Chase Leister’s double allowed Baker and  Finkenbiner to score.
Reese Christine followed with a walk.
Ruth cleared the bases as he smacked a grand slam.

In the bottom of the 2nd, Ruth and company were still sailing defensively, keeping Greater Vision off the scoreboard.

Greater Vision kept T&Js off the scoreboard in the of the third as it’s defense tightened.

In the Top Of the 3rd T&Js, pitcher
Bo Reeder pitching for Greater Vision kept the T&J bats quiet.

Ruth once again kept the Greater Vision offense still bay.

Offensively in the top of the 4th,
Fletcher Wilson started the inning as he walked.
Chase Leister doubled while Christine walked.
Logan Ruth blasted a double scoring Wilson and Leister.
Peyton Kearns bounced into a fielder’s choice allowing Christine to score.
Like in the first three innings, the T&J defense refused to allow a hit en route to the 11-0 victory.

Game ended 11-0, ten run rule after the 4th inning

Logan Ruth was the leader on the mound and at the plate.
Pitched a no-hitter, struckout 8, walked 3.
Batted 3-3, grand slam, 2-run homer, 2-run double.
