Bellefonte finishes regular season with win over Tyrone

Bellefonte boys continue its winning ways as it goes into the first round of District playoffs with a 5-1 over Tyrone Thursday night.

In the 1st half, Bellefonte’s Jacob Henry got the scoring going with a goal at  23:11.

Bellefonte added its second goal at 30:59 when Dan Persiko thanks to an assist Mintesinot Borst upped the lead to 2-0.

Going into the intermission, the Red Raiders were in control of the contest.

The Red Raiders started again in the second half at the 52:51 mark.

Bellefonte’s Hayden Walker scored off an assist by Persiko.

Tyrone got on the board at 61:32 thanks to an Andrew Tornature unassisted goal.

However, at 69:10 Walker took home another goal, taking command of the contest.

Bellefonte ended its scoring run at 73:43 as Persiko ended the scoring with the assist coming from Walker.

Bellefonte outshot Tyrone 13-7.

“Tyrone came out very aggressive tonight and shut our offense down early. We were just walking through the motions and looked slow early in the game,” said Bellefonte coach Scott Martz. “After we scored the 1st goal it kinda woke us up alittle and we began to play better.

Bellefonte record 13-1

The Red Raiders next game is November 2nd in the 1st round of districts at a time and opponent to be announced later this week.
