Bellefonte girls’ season ends in loss to Central Mountain

The season ended quietly for the Bellefonte Lady Raiders basketball team Wednesday night as they lost to Central Mountain 60-36 in the first round of the District 6 Class 5A  playoffs.

It was quite a season for the Lady Raiders as the started at 0-5 and battled their way to the post season, finishing at 8-11 on the year.

Bellefonte high scorer was Sara DeHaas with 10 points.

Central Mountain was led by Quinlan McCann who had a game-high 21 points.

Teammate Avery Baker followed up with 14.

“Central Mountain played very well today and hit a lot of open shots. They were really able to pull away in the second half,” said Bellefonte coach Marcus Toomer. “It is a tough way to end the season but I am so proud of this team’s resolve this year.
