Bellefonte outslugs Clearfield 16-11

The Bellefonte Softball team found that it would need its offense Tuesday as it went up against a very tough Clearfield team. At in the end Bellefonte would pound out the 16-11 victory.
Picking up a multi-hit game for the Red Raiders were Mallorie Smith (single/double), Alexis Wetzler (2 singles, double), Rianna Trexler (2 singles double), Maddie Tice (single,Home Run), Lexi Rogers (2 singles), Emma DeHaas (2 singles, a double) and Hanna Lauck(2 doubles).
Both teams mirrored each other early on as both scored two runs in the first and four in the second, making it 6-6 after two complete.
However, the Red Raiders added a run in the third, giving them the one -run lead. Holding a 7-6 advantage going into the fifth, Bellefonte added to its lead, picking up three more runs, upping it to 10-6 advantage.
Clearfield battled back in the sixth to pull the Bison back to within on, 10-9.
But Bellefonte all but put the game on ice in the bottom of the sixth as the Red Raiders went into the final inning ready to close out Clearfield.
Despite plating two more runs, theBison weren’t able to pick up any thing more than just a run .
Lexi Rogers handed the ball over to Mallorie Smith late. She went into the game to bring home the save.
Save she did .
Clearfield got Multi Hit Game from Karly Rumsky (2 singles), Abby Fedder (3 singles) and Kate Lansberry (2 singles, Home Run).
