Mifflin County grinds out 4-2 road victory over SC

Road Warriors.
The Mifflin County baseball team evened it’s record to 3-3 in the Mid-Penn and 3-5 overall as it took game one of its annual 2-game series against rival State College, 4-2.
It would be a game that the Huskies struck First and struck last, pulling out the victory late in the contest.
Mifflin County pounded out seven hits while State College finished with three.
Picking up the win for Mifflin County was Connor Yoder while teammate Camden Shawver picked up the save.
State College’s Noah Aungst took the loss.
Leading the way for “the Purple and Black Attack” offensively were Brian Yetter went 2-for-3 with 2 runs, Noah Wright as he finished with 2RBI with one hit. Max Oburn and Isaac Matthews also both picked up crucial RBIs.
Offensively for State College were Tyson Cooper, Kevin Kerstetter and Tyler Simpson who all picked up a hit each.
Mifflin County posted one run in the second and third innings, taking a 2-0 advantage.
However, the lead would be temporary as the Little Lions put two on the board in the third inning to tie the game.
Mifflin County got its offense going in the fifth and sixth while its defense got stronger, taking home the 4-2 victory.
The two will be back in action Wednesday with this contest being held at Mifflin County this time.
