Bellefonte tops State College in 10u All-Star action

BELLEFONTE – Bats were blistered as the Bellefonte 10u All-Stars defeated State College 10u All Stars 13-10 on Monday.

State College opened up scoring in the first inning, scoring one run.

Bellefonte pulled away for good with six runs in the third inning. In the third, Oliver Lucas singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run, Frank Albright tripled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Cody Bodle grounded out, scoring one run, and Beckett Albright singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.

State College scored three runs in the fourth inning.

Albright was on the hill for Bellefonte. The hurler lasted three innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out four.

The Bellefonte All-Stars totaled nine hits in the game. Lucas, Frank Albright, and Braxton McClellan all had multiple hits for Bellefonte 10u All-Stars. McClellan, Albright, and Lucas each collected two hits to lead Bellefonte 10u All-Stars.

State College saw the ball well today, racking up nine hits in the game. The State College All l-Stars stole six bases during the game as two players stole more than one. Player led the way with two.
