Bellefonte XC runners sweep PO and Central

Clean sweep!
It was a very productive afternoon on the course as the Bellefonte boys and girls cross country teams came out on the winning side. Both teams earned a win against PO and Central this afternoon.
It was a tough course with some bumps and bruises, but the kids ran great.
The boys took four of the five top spots en route to the 19-42 win over Philipsburg-Osceola and a 16-45 victory over Central.
Finishing in the top spot for the Red Raiders was Austin Melius with a top time of 18:29.
Teammate Chase Eberling was next with a time of 18:37.
Coming in fourth for Bellefonte was Eric Bennett as he placed with a time of 19:45.
Rounding out the top five was Aaron Caroline with a time of 20:00.
Mirroring what the boys did, the Bellefonte girls also placed four runners in the top five, earning them a sweep as well.
The Lady Raiders finished with a 17-45 win over the Mounties and 15-50 win over the Dragons.
Topping the list was Ashley Auckerman with a time of 22:54 while teammate Kate Rarric placed second with a 23:31 time.
In third, Mia Elmore kept the top runs coming with a time of 24:00.
Rounding things out in fifth was Mikayla Cole with a time of 25:11.
