Cubbison posts personal best at Gettysburg Invitational

The Mifflin County Cross Country High School Varsity and Junior High girls teams competed at the Gettysburg Invitational. Kylee Cubbison accomplished a new personal record updating her record XC time for Mifflin County High School at 18:55. She came away with a 3rd place medal finish.

“I had complete confidence that Kylee was ready both physically and mentally to run a good race today and break her PR. She has continued to work extremely hard and has stayed focused on waiting for this moment,” said Mifflin County coach Neil Breneman. “I am proud of the hard work and discipline that she puts in every day which is what is required to run that kind of race.” The rest of the team got good runs in and despite dealing with some injuries, we are staying focused on the remainder of the season.

The Junior High girls team is continuing to grow stronger and several of the girls have been improving dramatically in their times during the past couple of races. Amilia Coffey finished in the top 25 and is really developing well as a real champion. Abigail Anderson finished in the front half of the race and each of the other girls can be proud of what they accomplished today.

Next Saturday, October 16 the High School Varsity team will run in the Mid Penn Championship race in Big Springs.
