DuBois knocks off spunky BEA girls soccer team
It was a tough day for the Bald Eagle Area girls Saturday as they fell to DuBois 3-1.
“Going down 2 goals was tough but Alex put us back in it with a nice goal,” said Bald Eagle Area coach Jared Moore said. “Angie kept us in by saving a pk but the third goal was the back breaker.”
DuBoos led in shots on goal by a 7-3 margin and also led in corner opportunities 3-2.
Bald Eagle Area goalie Angelina Grieb tallied 4 saves.
After falling behind by two goals early by DuBois, the Eagles battled back to cut the lead in half thanks to a goal Alex Hacker. Hacker picked up a pass from Maura Cingle and pushed through, cutting it 2-1. DuBois added a goal later in the contest to notch a victory.
BEA falls to 6-7 overall and 6-4 in the Mountain League.
