Flashback: SC field hockey girls top Chambersburg 4-0

State College VARSITY played @ Chambersburg High School on Monday night. This was the second time SC faced Chambersburg and although SC dominated play from the beginning of the game, Chambersburg worked to defend their circle and didn’t give allow SC to score until the second quarter at 11:20 when Maddie Tambroni passed a shot to Liv Morocko who knocked the ball into the cage to put State College ahead 1-0. SC scored again at 9:48 when a drive from Rebecca Bonness was deflected by Katelin Seacrist, Chambersburg’s goalkeeper, and then rebounded into the net by Liv Morocko to put SC up 2-0. In the third quarter, Maddie Tambroni scored on an assist from Leah Moyer with 2:41 remaining in the quarter. Tambroni scored again in the fourth quarter on another assist from Moyer to bring the final score to 4-0. State College is now 5-2 for the season and will travel to Carlisle on Saturday, October 17, for their next game.
