Foxpro Takes Game One of Series with Lemont

LEMONT – The Foxpro Predators went into Lemont and took care of business and came out of game one with a 9-2 victory in their first round CCBL match up over the Ducks on Sunday.

The Predators came out the gates swinging and dropped five runs in the opening frame of the game and never looked back.

Foxpro had another big inning late in the game in the top half of the sixth inning where they dropped three more runs in the inning to put the game on ice.

Hunter Thompson led the Predators at the plate with two hits along with an RBI. Landon Black had a two RBI double, Hayden Snook had a two RBI single and Tristin Lockett collected himself a triple in the game.

Connor Cherry nearly went the distance for Foxpro and pitched six innings with a strikeout and three walks. Isaiah Kearns came on and closed the game out in the bottom of the seventh with two strikes to go along with two RBIs at the plate.

Game Two will be held on Tuesday at 6 p.m. over at the Mifflin County High School.
