Gingrich, Lady Huskies dominated Red Land

Total shutdown!

The MIfflin County girls basketball team dominated Red Land Tuesday night as they combined a stifling defense with a high potent offense, notching an easy 53-17 victory.

Marissa Gingrich sizzled from the field, finishing with a game-high 20 points. She outscored Red Land all by herself. Four of Gingrich’s buckets came from beyond the 3-point line.

Teammates Emma Weaver and Brianna Bodtorf rounded out the scorers with eight each.

Red Land’s Heather Sholley led her team with eight points.

In the opening period, Gingrich and Emma Yeager both scored four each as the Lady Huskies outscored Red Land 14-6.

Things didn’t fare much better for Red Land in the second as MIfflin County outscored them 14-4 to go into the half trailing 28-10.

Coming out of the intermission, the Huskies once again dominated plastering a 19-7 margin in the scoreboard.

Finally in the fourth, MIfflin County added to the win as it dominated once again 6-2 en route to the senior night home win.
