Huge 7-run inning leads MC to victory

The Mifflin County baseball team had a flare for the dramatics Thursday, pulling out the win late against Central Dauphin.

After trailing 7-1 going into the bottom of the sixth, the Huskies posted a 7-run sixth inning to take the lead and then eventually win it in the seventh, 9-8. 

With the Mifflin County evened it’s record to .500.

Evan Mock posted the Huskies offensive, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. 

Tristin Lockett picked up the win on the evening.

Brian Yetter scored the “Purple and Black attack’s” first run in the bottom of the fourth after reaching on a walk.

In the sixth,

Seven of the nine batters in the Huskies’ line up crossed the plate as the team batted around in the inning.

Cole Schlegel roped a 2-run home run to pace his team’s comeback attempt.

When the dust settled Max Oburn, Yetter, Schlegel,Noah Wright, Mock, Jared King And Tyreen Smalley all crosses the plate.

Central Dauphin tied the game in the top of the seventh to add to the excitement.

But in the bottom of the seventh, the Huskies picked up the win as Mock scored after singling. He was brought to end the contest.
