Juniata boys top rival EJ 12-2 in TVL baseball action

 

 

COCOLAMUS – The Indians win round one of its rivalry against East Juniata.

Offensively, the Juniata baseball team had its bats working full force, playing 12 runs in its 10-run victory over its rival.

Juniata pounded out 15 hits en route to the 12-2 victory while East Juniata finished with six. 

East Juniata’s Achilles heel on the night was it’s five errors. 

Will Orwig got the wins for the Indians while Jadyn Martin took the loss.

Dan Kanagy highlighted the night with a round tripper.

Juniata picked doubles byJamie Bailer (1) and Will Orwig (1). 

Leading the offensive attack were CJ Bonson(3-for-3),Jace White (3-for-4), Mason Druckemiller (2-for-4) and Nathan Berry (3-for-5). 

For East Juniata Dan Kanagy went 2-for-4 while Losch went 2-for-3.

Juniata opened the game, taking the first inning 3-1.

The Indians added two more in the third after a scoreless second inning. 

From there Juniata added four in the fourth while holding the Tigers to just one.

The Indians added three more insurance run the rest of the way to clinch the 10-run victory.
