Juniata College men’s tennis Drops, 7-2 Decision at Moravian

BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Juniata men’s tennis team dropped a 7-2 decision at Moravian this afternoon.

 

Jackson Burnell (Bedford, Texas / L.D. Bell HS) and William Michelson (Old Mystic, Conn. / Stonington) were edged, 8-5 at first doubles, Ezenna Emuka (Houston, Texas / William B. Travis HS) and Keisuke Maeda (Tokyo, Japan / Nihon University) fell, 8-3 at second doubles, and Anatole Lutun (Fismes, France / HEI Lille) and Abinav Vadivelou dropped third doubles, 8-3.

 

After the doubles matches, Moravian led, 3-0. At first singles, Michelson picked up a win for the Eagles. Michelson won, 6-3, 7-6 (7-2). Burnell fell, 6-2, 6-1 at second singles and Vadivelou picked up another Eagle win at third singles. Vadivelou won, 7-6 (9-7), 6-2. After third singles, the Greyhounds led, 4-2. Emuka fell, 6-0, 6-1 at fourth singles, Maeda fell, 6-1, 6-0 at fifth singles, and Lutun fell, 6-1, 6-1 at sixth singles.

 

It is Michelson’s first win in Landmark Conference play.

 

Men’s tennis hosts Elizabethtown tomorrow starting at 12 PM.
