Juniata comeback falls short, falls to Braves

MIFFLINTOWN – Tuesday, the Juniata Boys Soccer team found themselves in quite the battle as they went up against the Braves of Shikallemy.

In the end, it would be the Braves that would take the 3-2 nail biter.

Shikallemy scored all their goals in the first half, taking a 3-0 lead into the intermission.

Juniata came roaring back in the second picking up two goals.

The first came at 29:28 when Arthur Hazard scored off an assist by Avery Portzline.

The final goal came with 4:28  on the clock by Juniata’s Ricky Guante.

The Indians led in the Shots on Goal department by a 12-11 margin.

Shikallemy led in corners by a 6-3 margin.

Keeper Saves were close as the Braves tallied 14 while the Indians had 13.
