Juniata falls to Halifax in TVL action

The Juniata Varsity Indians Fall After Strong Showing By Halifax.
The Indians couldn’t keep up with Halifax and fell 10-0 on Wednesday.
Halifax opened the scoring in the first after Dayton Bittner singled, scoring one run.
Halifax added one run in the second after Isaac Miller singled.
Halifax added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning when Jack Wilson drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and a steal of home scored one run.
Grant Reinhold pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Juniata . The reliever gave up four hits and four runs (two earned) while, striking out two and walking one. Wyatt Stoner stepped on the bump first for the Indians. The starting pitcher gave up six hits and six runs (four earned) over walking three. Brandon Schell began the game for Halifax. The starting pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over six innings, striking out 11 and walking one.
Reinhold, Daylyn Kennedy, and Gage Harlon each collected one hit for the Indians. Juniata turned one double play in the game.
Halifax collected 10 hits in the game. Bittner provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Halifax with two runs batted in. The right fielder went 1-for-4 on the day. Justin Zahurak, Cooper Custer, and Schell each collected two hits for Halifax. Dylan Klinger, Schell, and Cohen Bechtel each stole multiple bases for Halifax. Halifax stole seven bases in the game.
Juniata will travel to Line Mountain for their next game on Friday.
