Juniata tops rival EJ in nail biting season opener

Jumping right into it.

Juniata County had its first rivalry game of the 2020 fall high school season when the Juniata boys soccer team went head-to-head with rival, East Juniata.

Like with most times the two team battle it was a nail biter as the Indians scored early and held a late run by the Tigers to bring home a  hard fought 3-2 victory.

Juniata, who scored all their goals in the first half, got on the scoreboard first and took a 3-0 advantage into the second half.

From there, East Juniata started to chip away at the Indians’ lead first by a goal by Jake Brackbill and Gannon Ryan. They were assisted by Cade Brubaker and Brackbill, respectively.
