Juniata volleyball team wins first game of the year; tops Williamsport
The Juniata girls volleyball team picked up its first win of the year Saturday against Williamsport, 3-2.
Williamsport won the opening match 25-18.
However, the Indians came back strong with two consecutive winning games of 25-21 and 27-25, respectively.
The Millionaires extended the match to a fifth and deciding game with a 27-25 win of their own.
But in the end, Juniata would take final game 15-7 en route to the victory.
Hunter Johns (Senior) has a strong game with nine kills, 14 digs and eight aces.
Teammate Madison Royer (Senior) tallied four kills and 12 digs.
Rounding out the Indians’ stand outs were Kiersten Willis (Junior) 13 digs and five aces and Angelica Ybarra (Junior) had six kills, and two blocks.
