Juniata wrestlers go 1-1 at the TVL duals

The Juniata wrestling team went 1-1 at the Tri-Valley Duals vs. Line Mountain Hs @ TVL Duals on Wednesday.

In their match against Susquenita, the Indians out wrestled their opponents 35-30.

Starting out at 285, Juniata’s Jonathan Kauffman pinned TJ McKenney at the 1:01 mark.

Casey Smith, wrestling at 106, took a fought 2-0 decision over Mason McLendon.

113-pounder Taylor Smith pinned Susquenita’s Kale Quigley at 4:55.

At 120, Susquenita’s Reed Kyler picked the win by forfeit.

Juniata bounced back at 126 as Cameron Sweigart won by tech fall over Noah Wright 16-0 at 2:36.

Susquenita battled back at 132 when Dominic Caldwell pinned Tye Jabs at1:47.

At 138, Susquenita’s Jaxen Zimmerman picked up an easy forfeit win.

Susquenita won by forfeit at 145. Louie Frisenda picked up the win.

From there, the Indians started to heat up winning three of the last four matches. 152-pounder Josh Bomberger won an 8-3 decision over Isaiah Buckley.

Susquenita picked up its last win of the day at 160 when Breck Shaffer pinned oNoe Montesinos at  0:49.

At 172, Kobe Bonnell pinned Sonny Lanzilotta at 5:22.

189-pounder Dominik Rowles won by forfeit.

Rounding out things at 215 there was a Double Forfeit.

In their match against Line Mountain , Juniata fell 65.0-6.0. Picking up the wins for the Indians were; at 113, Taylor Smith pinned Brody Long by Fall at 2:42.
