Lady Eagles defense tops Central Mountain

Off and running!

The Bald Eagle Area girls basketball team got off to a very strong start as they defeated Central Mountain Saturday evening by a score of 32-28.

The game was a back and forth battle throughout but when the buzzer sounded the Eagles would raise their hands in victory.

Despite trailing 23-15, the Lady Eagles responded and battled back from the deficit.

Both teams struggled from the the free throw line as the Eagles were 16 of 36 and the Wildcats were 5 of 20. Leading the way for the Eagles in the win were Maddie Perry with 13 points including one three pointer, Abby Hoover with nine points and one three pointer.

Bald Eagle is back in action on Tuesday as they host Bellefonte at  7:30 pm.
