Lady Eagles rebound against Huntingdon, wins 13-3

The Bald Eagle Softball team rebounded strongly from their nail biting loss to rival Bellefonte Tuesday, defeating Huntingdon 13-3 on Wednesday.

Winning pitcher on the night was Marina Shawley who went four innings,three runs, three hits, two strike outs and a walk.

Maddie Peters picked up the save pitching one inning and allowing one hit, with two strike outs.

Top hitters for the Lady Eagles were McKena Baney (2 hits, double), Maddie Perry (2 hits, double), Kayleigh Kinley( 3 hits, double), Madison Eckley (2 hits, double).

“Great win after two tough losses. Marina Shawley pitched four strong innings before handing it over to Peters for the save,” said Bald Eagle coach Don Lucas. “We got another strong effort from our defense with Mara Hockenberry going deep to her left to rob Huntington player of a hit in the gap. Offensively we found our bats pounding out 13 hits. Perry, Kinley, Eckley, Baney getting multiple hits. Good team win.”
