Lady Huskies fight mightily but falls to Cedar Cliff 6-4

In a tightly played contest, the Cedar Cliff softball team outlasted a feisty Mifflin County team, winning 6-4 in Mid-Penn action.

Things started out well for the Lady Huskies as they posted two runs in the first.

However, Cedar Cliff battled right back in the bottom of the inning with two runs of its own.

With the game tied at two, Cedar Cliff held Mifflin County in the second and then posted two runs, taking a 4-2 advantage going into the third.

Playing catch up, the Huskies tried to comeback with a run in the third, making it a 4-3 lead for the home team.

Unfortunately for Mifflin County, Cedar Cliff matched it with a run of its own, extending it back to a 2-run lead.

The same would happen in the fourth and from there both defenses took over and Cedar Cliff went home the winners of a 6-4 victory.
