Lady Huskies notch their first win in comeback fashion

Despite falling in their first two contests, the MIfflin County softball rebounded with a hard fought 9-5 home victory Wednesday night against Cedar Cliff.

The Colts broke out to a 4-0 lead in their first at bats.

Despite the early deficit, the Lady Huskies started to climb its way back into the game posting a lone run in the second.

Jaylee Bodtorf got MIfflin County off and running in the second with a single into left field.

Alexis O’Brien added to the base paths as she singled as well.

O’Brien later scored on a fielders choice and an error.

Falynn Reinard got her team back on the scoreboard blasting a shot into right field.

Savannah Powell brought in Reinard with a single to right, making it a 4-2 contest.

Mifflin County pulled to within one on a Malaina Maxwell double, putting the Huskies within striking distance.

The Huskies made their move in the fifth, erasing their deficit and taking the lead for the first time, posting a five run fifth.

Defensively, Mifflin County held their own, allowing just one more. Edgar Cliff run while their bats pushed out an insurance run in the sixth to take home its first victory in grand style.
