Lady Huskies tame the Mountain Lions 13-2

ALTOONA – The bats continue to strike hard and often for the MIfflin County girls’ softball team as they topped Altoona 13-2 Thursday on the road.

Leesha Shilling picked up the win in a 5-inning contest as the Lady Huskies 10-run ruled the Mountain Lions by 11. She was clutch for MIfflin County allowing just two runs the entire contest and striking out four.

Mifflin County opened up the contest with a three-run top of first .

Altoona plated a run in the bottom of the inning, making it 3-1 going into the second.

But then, “The Purple and Black Attack” outscored Altoona the rest of the way by a 10-1 margin.

It was a 4-RBI Day for Josalynn Kibe. Kibe had two hits on the afternoon.

Teammates Alyssa Souders and Caitlyn Kick both picked up three hits each in the victory.

Souders had three RBIs and Gianna Hoppel had two.
