Late CV rally foils Mifflin County night

It was a good start for the MIfflin County Huskies baseball team Tuesday as they took a 2-0 advantage over Cumberland Valley after four-and-a-half innings.

However, one big 5-run fifth turned the momentum to Cumberland Valley, allowing them to take the contest 6-2.

With the loss, the Huskies fall to 2-3 on the year.

Tye Plank, Reese Christine and Landen Eichhorn tallied the three MIfflin County hits in the contest.

The Huskies scored its first run in the third inning.

Farrell Souders led off the inning with a walk.

Teammate Ryan Kanagy followed with a walk of his own.

with one out, Xavier Smith was hit by a pitch to load the bases.

Jayden Smith made it three walks in the inning, picking up an RBI in the process.

The Huskies added another run in the top of the fifth.

Kanagy started things off as he reached base via an error.

Eichhorn was hit by a pitch, putting runners on first and second.

Kanagy took advantage of a wild pitch to plate MIfflin County’s second run of the game.

Unfortunately for the Huskies, Cumberland Valley rallied for five to take the contest.
