Lauver heads to D6 tennis finals; Juniata baseball falls in TVL contest

The Juniata Indians tennis team competed in the District 6 Class AA singles meet on Monday.

Max Lauver and Adam French represented the Indians.

In the end, Lauver would advance to battle number one seeded Vingnesh Elangovan in the championship match on April 28th.

After a first round bye, Lauver defeated Tyrone’s Dean Grossi 6-2 and 6-1.

In the semi-finals, Lauver defeated Westmont’s David Asaad 6-3 and 1-0 retired.

French won his first contest against Huntingdon’s Taren Relkey, 6-1 and 6-1.

In the quarter finals, French fell to

Vingnesh Elangovan 1-6 and 5-7.

Baseball

West Perry defeated Juniata 7-4.

With the loss, the Indians fall to 2-8.

Next Game for Juniata is at Home vs Line Mountain on Wednesday.
