MC boys cross country travels to Mechanicsburg

Tuesday afternoon for a double dual meet with Cumberland Valley and Carlisle. MC came up short against both teams falling to Carlisle 18-39

and CV 21-36.

“Carlisle and Cumberland Valley are constantly two of the top teams in the Mid Penn so we knew we would have are hands full today.  Chris Royer finished 2nd against CV and Ben and CJ finished ahead of their #5 keeping the score close.

The scoring against Carlisle was a similar as we were able to score against their back runners.

It was a good day for MC cross country. Although we ended up a little short the boys are realizing we can get in the mix and run with good teams. Caden and Cody are only sophomores and they’ve been solid all season for us. Luke, Dom and Max are holding their own,” said Mifflin County coach Greg Loht. “

Freshman Steyers Oden set a new PR and broke 21 minutes for the first time today. Steyers only started running a month ago. “He is still figuring things out but should help us in October,” said Loht.
